Girls Tennis finish great season

By SBAA 10/21/2021, 6:15am EDT

The Girls Tennis team wrapped up their season, finishing up with a 7-4 record.  That is awesome!!   Our biggest winner was Kenzie Palumbo with 10 matches won!

Coach Lori Henry shared, "Wow, what a great season!  We are proud of each of these girls.   The coaches and I loved coaching each one of them."

Great job by all of our runners! Attached is the link to the results. Within the link you can choose team and individual results for each of the races (not including 3rd grade and under).

To get to the 3rd grade and under results, go to the following link (which will also have individual results for every race, but not the team results):

First of all, congratulations to both of our girls teams! The Senior Reserve Girls (4th-6th grade) finished as Diocesan team champions and the Varsity Girls (6th-8th grade) finished as Diocesan team runners-up!!

Both of these results were very close and were truly team efforts to get those trophies! The 4th-6th grade girls had 48 points, narrowly beating 2nd place St. Agatha, which had 51 points. The Varsity Girls actually tied for 1st place with St. Paul, with both teams having 52 points. However, the tiebreaker went to St. Paul. But our top 6 runners in that race ran personal record times just to get us to that position as a team, so that is a great achievement!

The 7th-8th grade boys ended up in 3rd place, with 68 points (behind St.Paul with 27 and St. Pius X with 54) and the 4th-6th grade boys finished in 6th place with 122 points.

Congratulations also to the following individual award winners (top 10) for each of the races:

4th-6th Grade Girls:
Alyn Luis - 4th

Alexa Obers 9th
