The St. Brigid Athletic Association would like to extend a huge Thank You and Congratulations to all of those involved with the Basketball Program this season.
Last weekend wrapped up the Diocese Tournaments – where 4 Tournament Champions were crowned from St. Brigid, to go along with 4 Regular Season Champions. Congrats to all of those championship teams.
In addition to the championships, we would like to celebrate the great seasons that all teams had, the great support from the parents, coaches, and administrators that helped create one of the most successful basketball seasons on and off the court.
A huge measure of the success was how great our parents, fans, and players represented St. Brigid – there were many complements on our players, cheerleaders, and coaches from around the diocese. Numerous compliments on the facilities at St. Brigid and our gym organization on game days at St. Brigid.
Thanks to all involved with the program, the season could not have been a success without all of you.
If you see any of these people around St. Brigid, please thank them for all that they did this season.

It's been a number of years since St. Brigid has had a Boys Tennis Club. Boys tennis is held in the spring, and as it's a Club Sport (just like Girls Tennis) and not a diocese sport, we will offer Tennis whenever there are players and a couple of coaches interested in running the club.
If we had enough interest and 2 coaches willing to revive the Boys Tennis Club, please reach out to Shawn.steinbrunner@gmail.com if you are interest.
However, if we do have just a couple of boys interested, St. Andrew's coach, Katie Ezell, has reached out to see if we have anyone interested in playing on their team.
Their season will start March 1, so if you are interested, please reach out to Kathleen.ezell@gmail.com
Did you know there is a middle school girls lacrosse team called
All Saints for girls who will be attending Watterson?
All Saints consists of 7th and 8th grade girls who attend any of
the Bishop Watterson feeder schools. Practice starts in March
depending on the weather at St. Andrews and we play between
10-12 games a season including a final season tournament.
Practice and games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. It is
possible we could have a game or occasional practice on a
weekend.
Lacrosse is the fastest growing girls sport in the United States.
Do you have a daughter who is interested in playing? No
experience is necessary.
If you have a daughter who is interested in playing, please email
Brett Coleman at bcolema6@att.net or call at 614-561-4813.
GO SAINTS!
Hello Everyone,
For those of you who do not know me I am Nick Melaragno and I am the head coach of the Columbus Saints. I wanted to let everyone know that registration is now open for the 2023 Columbus Saints spring season. To register you will have to fill out a Google form that is located on our website (see link below). Once you hit the link below go to the registration tab and there you will find all the information about the 2023 season, the mandatory waiver and the google form to register for Saints. If you have never filled out a Google form before it is relatively simple, just answer all the questions on the form and submit it at the end. Both me and the person who submitted the form will get an email verification that everything submitted successfully. If you have any problems with this feel free to contact me separately. I will send out weekly emails reminding everyone to sign up and alerting you when the registration deadline is upcoming (Feb. 16th). We do not have our official schedule yet, but when it comes out I will update the website to reflect this season. Me and my assistant coach Liam Sullivan will be holding a face-to-face parent coach meeting in the upcoming weeks. I will let you guys know where and when this meeting is going to take place. Hopefully we have a good turn out this year and continue the success the Saints program strives for year in and year out.
Thanks,

Spring Sports continue with Early Bird Registration ending on January 28th, so please register early to take advantage of that discount.
Registration will stay open until Feb. 25th, but communication from coaches and forming of teams is greatly benefited by registering early, so please don't wait.
Offerings for the spring are Baseball, Softball, and Track & Field. All three are available to boys and girls in the 4th - 8th grades that are students of St. Brigid or parishioners of St. Brigid.
Registration will be open until Saturday, Feb 25th, with the first practices to start shortly thereafter. Please register soon to not miss out on any communication around practices and forming of teams. You can Register on the GoWolfhounds.com Registration form.
Early Bird Registration - Use Coupon Code "EarlySpring23" until January 28th for 10% off your registration.
Baseball & Softball:
Baseball is open to all 4th - 8th graders, and the season will be made up of 8-10 games with a season ending tournament planned for grade 5-8. Registration fees are $160 and include your jersey & St. Brigid hat. Practices will be at Brigid's Green along with about 1/2 of the games at St. Brigid and the rest at other Diocese schools.
If you have questions about Baseball or Softball - please contact Commissioner Will Malerich at baseball@gowolfhounds.com
Track & Field:
Season will consist of 4 meets + the Diocese championship starting around April 2 until May 14. Practices will be held at Karrer Middle School or at St. Brigid/Avery Park as needed. Registration fees for track & field are $85.
If you have questions about Track & Field - please contact Commissioner Dan Workman at track@gowolfhounds.com
Parents - please remember to complete the Diocese Parent Consent Forms that are done online at https://www.dioceseregister.com
You must complete 1 form for every season that your child plays, each year. So if your child plays a Fall Diocese sport (Volleyball, Cross-Country, Football), and a Winter Diocese sport (Basketball), and a Spring Diocese sport (Baseball, Softball, Track) - that means you need to fill out 3 forms this year for your child. If you have multiple children, you need to complete the needed forms for each child, each season.
I know this is a pain, but we must have all paperwork completed for your child to participate in any practices to start the season, so please help us out by remembering to go fill this out as soon as you complete your GoWolfhounds.com registration.
